Re-Registration Changes for All Grades ~ 2012 – 2013

Parents of children currently attending St. Theresa’s ECP – Grade 5 will receive a re-registration packet during the week of January 9, 2012. Please return the form enclosed in this packet with your registration and supply fees ($100 re-registration and $300 supply fee) in the total amount of $400 (non-refundable) by February 15, 2012, in order to reserve a seat for your child.

This year St. Theresa School has partnered with Smart Tuition, a tuition management company. Detailed information will be included in your re-registration packet. Also, a letter from Monsignor Helmick with complete details regarding new tuition rates will be included.

New Early Childhood Program

St. Theresa’s Early Childhood Program is now offering a new part-time schedule commencing September 2012. This program is geared towards those families who have flexible work schedules and would like the convenience to adjust the days/times their young children will be attending school. The child’s scheduled days/times may be changed with advanced written notice.

3 Day Half & 3 Day Full
4 Day Half & 4 Day Full
5 Day Half & 5 Day Full

Part – Time Hours are available for example:

8:00 – 12:00 p.m.
9:00 – 1:00 p.m.
10:00 – 2:00 p.m.
10:30 – 2:30 p.m.

There is a 4 hour minimum per day, (flexible) 12 hour minimum per week at $10.00 per hour.

Father ~ Daughter Dance, 2/10

Mark your calendars, the Father ~ Daughter Dance will be held on Friday, February 10th.

Scholastic Book Fair ~ 1/29 – 2/3

We will be hosting our annual Scholastic Book Fair from Sunday, January 29th, during our Open House through Friday, February 3rd in the school library. This is a wonderful opportunity to encourage reading as well as support the school. The children will also be allowed to purchase books during their regularly scheduled library class.

Open House

We will be holding and Open House for prospective students on Sunday, January 29th, 2012 from 10:00 – 12:00 noon.

New student registration will begin February 2012.

Warning Notices

Warning Notices will be sent home on Monday, January 23rd.

Tuition

Your tuition bill will be mailed to your home on Thursday, January 17th for Plan C. It is of the utmost importance that your child’s FULL NAME be noted on your check for proper identification to your account. Reminder: Plan C Tuition bills will be due on February 1st.

Mock Trial ~ Friday, 3/30/12

The students in grades 5 – 8 have been learning about the law. They are preparing for a Mock Trial that will be held on Friday, March 30th @ 7:00 p.m. in the school gym. We have been fortunate enough to have Boston College Law Students assisting our students with research about the courts and legal system.

The students are busy investigating, stay tuned for futher details re: this case.

We are officially “Green”

Please be aware that all communications will be sent home via email. Please be sure to let the office know immediately if you have changed your email address. The January Newsletter and Lunch Menu was sent via email on 1/3/12, please let us know if you have not received it.

Parking Lot

Be mindful of the children walking through the schoolyard to come into school in the morning. In the morning the children are assuming it is safe to walk through their schoolyard. There was a near miss with a distracted driver. Please remember the rules of the road apply to our schoolyard. Please do not use your cell phone etc. in the schoolyard. The safety of all children is our utmost concern.
