Two years ago, we chose to entrust the education of our 3 year old son to St. Theresa of Avila School. It is easily one of the best decisions we have ever made! Outside of our home, St. Theresa’s is the most loving and nurturing environment that our son has ever been around. The teachers and staff at STA provide an inclusive atmosphere based in respect for all and a belief in all of God’s teachings. The staff brings a true personal touch to their work and they make it a priority to get to know all of the students and their families on a first-name basis. Our son has been taught by teachers who truly love him and he has forged friendships that we know will last for the rest of his life! The optional After-School Enrichment Programs have exposed him to music, foreign languages and athletics and have helped to further develop his personality and confidence! I attended St Theresa’s during the 1980’s, and have very positive memories about my time there. After I left I found that the skills they taught me were a firm foundation for my success both in high school and in college! Currently, I send both my children to St Theresa’s, and as a parent I couldn’t be happier with the school and what my children are learning. Nurse’s Corner

The health office is on the first floor of the school off of the gym lobby. The health office is staffed by a full-time, Registered Nurse, Monday – Friday, from 7:30am until 2:45pm, every day during the school year.

Cafeteria

Our food service program serves a nutritious hot lunch every full day of school. The lunches adhere to all U.S.D.A. guidelines and follow the National School Lunch Program. Hot lunch includes a protein, a vegetable/fruit and a whole grain, an additional vegetable/fruit option, and milk or water. Students may choose either 1% fat white milk or non-fat chocolate milk. Early Childhood students are offered white milk. The Massachusetts Department of Education evaluates all paperwork every three years to ensure compliance with School Lunch Program guidelines.

PICKUP & DROPOFF INSTRUCTIONS

ARRIVAL PROCEDURE

This arrival procedure has proven to be a beneficial and safe procedure for all. If you choose to park in spaces, you must remain in that space until the end of express drop-off. Please do not try to break into express drop-off line – it will delay traffic flow.

The express drop-off starts at STOP sign on Landseer Terrace. All children must exit from the driver’s side of the vehicle for safety reasons. Children are then able to walk along the fence to the lineup area.

We are continuing to work on the best possible procedure for the safety of your children and ask for your cooperation in following this diagram.

DISMISSAL PROCEDURE

All cars will come into the schoolyard and park in rows facing the Convent.

Cars will park bumper to bumper in straight rows. When all children have been picked up and returned to their cars, the cars will be dismissed one row at a time. We hope to accommodate more cars in this manner and eliminate the backup onto Landseer Street.
