Admissions Criteria

Students admitted to St. Theresa School must meet the following requirements:

  1.  Children entering our program must be 2.9 years or older by September 1 and must be completely toilet trained with no pull-ups allowed.  Students entering Kindergarten 1 must be four (4) years of age by September 1.  Students entering the Kindergarten II program must be five (5) years of age by September 1.  Children must be six (6) years of age by September 1 to enter Grade 1.
  2. Students entering St. Theresa School Grades 1 – 6 must show evidence of successful completion of the previous grade.  Parents need to provide all relevant documents from the previous schools.  Parents and students will meet with the principal or a school representative before the admissions process is completed.
  3. Students are accepted into St. Theresa School in the following priority: (1) siblings of students presently enrolled at St. Theresa School, (2) registered and participating members of St. Theresa Parish, (3) registered and participating members of other Catholic parishes, and (4) Non-Catholics.
  4. It is our policy that all students participate in religion classes.  During those classes, opportunities become available for all students to share their religious beliefs with their peers.  All students will attend and participate respectfully in school liturgies and prayer services.
